What this playlist covers

Riti Kumari DBMS Interview Preparation Playlist by Riti Kumari runs to 76 videos across 8 sections: Introduction & Foundational Concepts, DBMS Architecture & Data Models, Entity-Relationship (ER) Model, Relational Model & Keys, Normalization & Functional Dependencies, SQL & Interview Preparation, Concurrency Control & Transactions and Indexing, Recovery & Advanced Topics. Tick each video off as you finish it — progress is saved in this browser, and syncs across devices once you sign in. Nothing here is gated and there is no signup to start.

The most thorough DBMS course here, strongest exactly where interviews concentrate — ER modelling, keys and normalisation.

Who it is for

Someone who needs DBMS properly rather than skimmed, and who keeps getting caught out on normal forms. 76 videos, so allow two to three weeks.

How to work through it

  1. 01Introduction & Foundational Concepts (9) and DBMS Architecture & Data Models (8).
  2. 02Entity-Relationship (ER) Model (17) — the largest section and the most commonly asked to draw on a whiteboard.
  3. 03Relational Model & Keys (12). Candidate keys and functional dependencies underpin everything after.
  4. 04Normalization & Functional Dependencies (11). The highest-yield section in any DBMS interview; do not rush it.
  5. 05Concurrency Control & Transactions (8) then Indexing, Recovery & Advanced Topics (8).

What it does well

  • 17 videos on the ER model and 11 on normalisation — the two things people are asked to actually perform rather than define.
  • Question-driven framing, so it doubles as revision rather than only instruction.
  • Concurrency control and recovery get real sections, which shorter DBMS playlists tend to drop.

Where it falls short

  • SQL gets 3 videos out of 76. If the role involves writing queries, that is nowhere near enough and you need a dedicated SQL resource.
  • 76 videos is a long course for a subject often allotted a week of revision.

What to pair it with

  • SQL sheet — The query practice this course does not provide — 3 videos of SQL will not carry an interview.
  • SQL window functions — The specific SQL topic most likely to appear and least likely to be covered by a DBMS course.
  • Love Babbar DBMS — The 22-video version if this is more course than you have time for.
