Love Babbar DBMS Interview Preparation Playlist

This DBMS interview preparation playlist by Love Babbar (CodeHelp) is designed specifically for placement and technical interviews. It covers all core DBMS concepts including ER modeling, relational models, SQL queries, normalization, ACID properties, indexing, and database scaling. The playlist also dives into advanced topics like NoSQL databases, CAP theorem, sharding, replication, and distributed database architectures. Ideal for computer science students, software engineering interviews, and backend-focused roles.

What this playlist covers

Love Babbar DBMS Interview Preparation Playlist by Love Babbar runs to 22 videos across 9 sections: Introduction & Basics, ER Model & Database Design, SQL, Normalization, Transactions & ACID Properties, Indexing & Optimization, NoSQL & Database Types and Clustering, Replication & Partitioning, plus 1 more. Tick each video off as you finish it — progress is saved in this browser, and syncs across devices once you sign in. Nothing here is gated and there is no signup to start.

A 22-video one-shot that reaches distributed databases and spends one video on normalisation — good breadth, thin exactly where it matters most.

Who it is for

Someone revising DBMS in two days who already knows normal forms. As a first course the normalisation coverage will leave you unable to do what you will be asked to do.

How to work through it

  1. 01Introduction & Basics (3) and ER Model & Database Design (6).
  2. 02SQL (2), Normalization (1) — both thin; supplement here rather than hoping.
  3. 03Transactions & ACID Properties (2) and Indexing & Optimization (1).
  4. 04NoSQL & Database Types (2), Clustering/Replication/Partitioning (2), Database Scaling & Distributed Systems (3) — the part that makes this playlist unusual.

What it does well

  • Genuinely covers scaling: replication, partitioning, clustering and distributed databases across 7 videos. Most DBMS courses stop at normalisation and never mention any of it.
  • 22 videos is a weekend, and the breadth-to-time ratio is the best here.
  • Useful bridge into system design, since sharding and replication show up there too.

Where it falls short

  • Normalisation gets one video. It is the single most commonly asked DBMS topic and you will be asked to normalise a table, not describe normalisation.
  • Indexing gets one video, SQL two. Both are routinely asked in more depth than that.
  • Breadth over depth throughout — treat it as a map, not the territory.

What to pair it with

  • Riti Kumari DBMS — 11 videos on normalisation and functional dependencies against this one's single video.
  • SQL sheet — Query practice, which two videos will not give you.
  • System design sheet — The scaling section here leads straight into it.
