What this playlist covers

Riti Kumari OS Interview Preparation Playlist by Riti Kumari runs to 17 videos across 3 sections: Operating System Fundamentals, Types of Operating Systems and OS Structure and System Calls. Tick each video off as you finish it — progress is saved in this browser, and syncs across devices once you sign in. Nothing here is gated and there is no signup to start.

An introduction to what an operating system is — not an OS course, and it should not be mistaken for one.

Who it is for

Someone encountering OS for the first time who wants the shape of the subject before committing to a long course. Anyone preparing for interviews needs a second playlist after this, not as an optional extra.

How to work through it

  1. 01Operating System Fundamentals (5).
  2. 02Types of Operating Systems (6).
  3. 03OS Structure and System Calls (6) — the most interview-relevant section here, and system calls do come up.
  4. 04Then move to a full course. This one ends before the topics interviews concentrate on.

What it does well

  • 17 videos, clearly explained, no padding. As orientation it does its job well.
  • System calls and OS structure get real attention, which longer courses sometimes rush past.

Where it falls short

  • There is no CPU scheduling, no process synchronisation, no deadlocks and no memory management. Those four are most of what an OS interview is. Across all three sections, none of them appear.
  • Finishing it is not finishing OS, and the video count makes it easy to think otherwise.

What to pair it with

  • Neso Academy OS — The full course to move to — 69 videos covering everything this one stops short of.
  • Love Babbar OS — The faster option if time is short — 30 videos including the scheduling and memory topics missing here.
