Love Babbar OS Interview Preparation Playlist
This Operating Systems course, part of the Placement Series by CodeHelp, covers core OS concepts essential for technical interviews and competitive exams. Topics include fundamental OS operations, process management, CPU scheduling algorithms (FCFS, SJF, Round Robin, MLFQ), process synchronization problems (Critical Section, Producer-Consumer, Dining Philosophers), deadlock handling, and memory management (Contiguous Allocation, Paging, Segmentation, Virtual Memory, Page Replacement).

What this playlist covers
Love Babbar OS Interview Preparation Playlist by Love Babbar runs to 30 videos across 5 sections: Introduction and Core Concepts, Process Management and CPU Scheduling, Process Synchronization and Concurrency Problems, Deadlock and Memory Management. Tick each video off as you finish it — progress is saved in this browser, and syncs across devices once you sign in. Nothing here is gated and there is no signup to start.
A balanced 30-video OS pass that covers everything adequately and nothing exhaustively — the right shape for revision, not for learning it first.
Who it is for
Someone who has seen OS before and wants it back in working memory in a week. As a first encounter it moves too fast through synchronisation.
How to work through it
- 01Introduction and Core Concepts (8).
- 02Process Management and CPU Scheduling (6).
- 03Process Synchronization and Concurrency Problems (8) — the section to slow down on.
- 04Deadlock (2). Thin; supplement if a company is known to ask.
- 05Memory Management (6) — paging, segmentation, virtual memory. Better covered here than in most 30-video courses.
What it does well
- Actually covers memory management, with 6 videos on it. A surprising number of longer OS playlists do not.
- 30 videos is a realistic week of revision rather than a semester.
- Interview framing throughout — it is explicit about what gets asked.
Where it falls short
- Deadlock gets 2 videos. Banker's algorithm and the detection/avoidance distinction deserve more and are commonly asked.
- CPU scheduling gets 6 videos against Neso's 19. Adequate for revision, thin for a first pass.
- No file systems coverage at all.
What to pair it with
- Neso Academy OS — 19 videos on scheduling and 15 on synchronisation — the depth this one trades away.
- Love Babbar DBMS — Same author, same revision-paced treatment, for the other core subject.
